I was amazed by some of the people that travel on these buses.
I was talking to this really nice guy,
probably in his mid-20s, and [when we stopped for food] he said,
'I haven’t got enough money.'
He was traveling from New York to Los Angeles,
and he had just enough money to buy the ticket,
so he basically had nothing to eat during that period.
I gave him some money and bought him a burger, but I noticed he only ate part of the burger
and put everything else in his pocket — obviously saving for the next day.
There are some pretty poor people traveling across the country."
